How to resolve the common problems when run gps navigation unit?

For the high GPS Navigation technology, more and more people choose to install their own car GPS navigation systems.  Inevitably, when you run the gps navigation system, maybe there are some problems. Some issues need to be resolved by Professionals, but most of the problems you can solve by yourself. For this article, we will post the most common problems for you.

QA 1. The gps navigation unit doesn't start up/ could not open the gps navigation unit.

a. The key is not turned to ACC or IGNITION position

Re: Turn the vehicle key to ACC or IGNITION position.

b.The power cable has not been connected to the gps navigation unit

Re:Connect the power cable to the gps navigation unit

c.Blown fuse behind the gps navigation unit or in the radio system

Re:Replace or change up the flat battery

d. Flat battery

Re: Replace or charge up the flat battery

e. The remote controller is running out of the battery

Re: Change the remote control battery

QA 2. No sound output/ could not heard voice/ no voice

a. Speakers wires are not connected to the gps navigation unit

Re:Make sure that the speaker wires are properly connected behind the gps navigation unit

b. The gps navigation unit is on "Mute"

Re: Press "Mute" key or VOLUME (+/-) key

c. The volume it excessively low

Re: Press VOLUME(+) key

d. Front/Rear speaker; Left/Right speaker

Re: Press the remote control panel "OSD" or adjust the "Option" "Audio"

QA 3.Touch panel is not calibrated

Re: Press "calibration" to calibrate the monitor again
"Menu"->"Option"->"System"->"calibration"

QA 4. No response from the touch screen

a. Possible that the system is still processing the precious task given to it

Re: If there is still no response after a long period time, please contact the after-sale service department to have this issue looked at

QA 5. Can not play DVD

a. Disc loaded inaccurately

Re: Please load the disc with the graphic side showing towards the windscreen

b. Dameged disc

Re: Please clean the disc before reloading it again

c. disc does not play at all

Re: Please check the disc format before playing it

QA 6. Screen is too dark or not bright enough

a. Brightness or contrast adjustment is at the lowest setting

Re: Press "OSD" on the remote controller and re-adjust suitable brightness, contrast and chroma settings

QA 7. Bad radio reception and can not locate many radio stations

a. The radio antenna is not plugged in corretly

Re: Re-plug in the radio antenna

b. This problem can also related to the current position of the vehicle, especially in the areas with tall buildings

Re: Try it again when the vehicle is away from the built up areas. If the problem persists, please contact your local product distributor/reseller

QA 8. No image from the reversing camera

a. Resersing camera is installed, but it is not plugged into the gps navigation unit

Re: Connect the reverse camera to the gps navigation unit, then press the "CDD" button on the remote controller, if it still does not work, please contact your local product distributor/reseller

QA 9. No GPS reception

a. GPS antenna is not plugged in

Re: Plug in the GPS antenna

b. No GPS reception in the current location

Re: Please contact your nearest product distributor/reseller for further assistance

QA 10. GPS can not pin point the current location

a. Some remote areas are not covered in the maps loaded in the system

Re: Future updated maps might cover those remote locations

QA 11. GPS can not find the location that I am looking for

Re: Confirm the address and re-enter it again. If the system still can not locate it, it is most likely that the map in the system will need to be updated

QA 12. Map does not appears on the monitor

a. It is possibly that the scale of the navigaiton map is either too small or too large

Re: Try to change the scale of the map, you should be able to see the navigation map on the monitor now. If the map still has not appeared, try to make a search again and if the problem persists, please contact your nearest product distributor/reseller for further assistance

QA 13. Bluetooth can not work

a. Bluetooth device is not connected

Re: Paire your cellphone with this Navi system

a. Can not find the bluetooth serial port
