NBA Tickets – LeBron, Kobe Back on All-NBA First Team

Here's a look back at the season for those selected to be on the All-NBA First Team, a list that doesn't have too many surprises.

Dwight Howard, Center, Orlando Magic.  Though LeBron James gets much of the league's superstar publicity, Howard is the other number one overall draft pick who has done nothing but meet lofty expectations.  Howard was once again the defensive player of the year, aided by his 13.2 rebounds per game and 2.8 blocks a contest.  Howard also continues to be a very strong post presence on offense, as he put up 18.3 points a game during the regular season.  In the playoffs, Howard has remained equally as dominant, helping the Magic look like the team to beat so far in the NBA postseason.

LeBron James, Forward, Cleveland Cavaliers.  This was a no-brainer.  As LeBron looks to take out the Celtics in the second round of the playoffs, his regular season stats speak emphatically for themselves.  Per game, King James averaged 29.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.0 block.  Barring injury, LeBron is here to stay on this list for a long, long time.

Kevin Durant, Forward, Oklahoma City Thunder.  As the youngest scoring champ in the history of the league, Durant isn't much of a surprise either.  His 30.1 points per game helped the Thunder take the next stage in their development and has fans definitely excited about him playing in Oklahoma City.  Durant also continues to prove that he can rebound his position, averaging 7.6 boards per contest during the 2009-2010 regular season.  Despite some inconsistent play in the first round of the playoffs against the Lakers, Durant still helped push the Lakeshow far closer to the brink of elimination than most anticipated.  Durant's future is a bright one, as is the future for the entire franchise.

Dwyane Wade, Guard, Miami Heat.  For the second consecutive season, Wade earned All-NBA first team honors.  With minimal help from his supporting cast, Wade carried the Heat to the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference, though he could do little to help the far less talented Heat overcome the Boston Celtics.  Wade was fifth in scoring and also had one of the top assists totals for a non point-guard with 6.5 dimes for the season.  His 1.8 steals per contest was icing on the cake.  With options facing him this offseason, will Wade continue to put up these types of numbers in Miami, or in another city?

Kobe Bryant, Guard, Los Angeles Lakers.  The Black Mamba has now been on the All-NBA First-Team for five consecutive seasons.  His 27 points per game are impressive enough but even more impressive when you consider the injuries to his shooting hand that he endured for much of the season.  Bryant also continues to be a defensive force and was selected to the All-Defensive First Team as well, which is also the fifth consecutive year he's earned the honor.  Kobe continues to be one of the top sellers of <ahref="http://www.stubhub.com/nba-tickets/">NBA tickets</a> and as of May 6th his Lakers were up 2-0 on the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.  Though most now consider LeBron James to be the best overall player in the league, Kobe is still lurking as one of the elite players.
