HOW TO WIN AND ENJOY DAILY VICTORY

Everyone has challenges. We often face problems, afflictions, suffering, and hardship. We need strength, endurance, patience and encouragement always. Challenges of life are not peculiar to few persons. It does not come for single reason. 

Why do people suffer? Are all trials the result of sin committed by the one who suffers? Why does God allow trials, worries, anxieties, and difficulties? Should we blame God and turn from Him? Can troubles and suffering actually make us better people? Is it possible to faithfully endure our difficulties? What solutions does the Bible offer to help us overcome our problems, afflictions, and hardships?

We read from the book of Job, in the Bible.

"Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble" (Job 14:1).

Different people deal with problems and afflictions in different ways. While it seems that some suffer more hardships than others do, I want to assure you that God has good plans for you. You can read this in Jeremiah 29:11. You will walk into your victory very soon.

Challenges of life concern us because,  

1. Hardship  itself is a burden,
2. Trials and hardship can lead to spiritual temptations and sin.  
3. They can lead to backsliding.
4. Trials and hardship could lead to anti - social behaviours and crime.
5. Trials and hardship could lead to suicide
6. They could lead to dysfunctional family and divorce.
7. They lead to discouragement and sometime to mental troubles.

When we have problems, trials and health challenges, we could become so discouraged that we blame God and other people for our troubles. We could lose faith in God and begin to doubt His goodness and mercy. Often we become very concerned, unhappy and less productive. We worry and fret and these could lead to lots of things including sometimes minor and serious accidents.

 As Job's wife said, "Curse God and die" (Job 2:9).

Jesus is concerned about your well being:

Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

The scripture says, in James 5:13. "Is any afflicted? ....Let him pray..."

 

God says ‘I will never leave or forsake you'. 

How to live in daily victory:

1. Trust in the Lord - Mark 11:22-24; Psalm 37: 2- 5, prov.3: 5-8. Psalm 46:1 -3. Trust God. We do this by studying the word of God and believing his promises.

2. We also have opportunities to listen to the word of God from Ministers of God, in CDs, tapes, on Radio and Television. This helps us by building our faith.

3. In 2 Chron.20:20, we are admonished to believe in the prophets of God. These are ministers of the gospel. God uses ministers to reveal his mind to us on issues of life. They could bring fresh understand to the word of God, inspiration, encouragement, prophetic insight, correction and so on, which could spur us to victorious actions.

4. Seek God's leading and Guidance in all things - Ezra 8:21. Many times we wander away into the desert of life on our own. It is very frustrating, we have assurance of help from God, and we should not waste it.

5. Make God your refuse: Psalm46: 1 - 3. Where is your first point of call in times of challenges and trials of life? Run to God, even if you are at fault, he wants you to come. He is our refuge in times of trouble.

6. Disciple and self control: This is essential. Most times people suffer because they lack these virtues. Often times debts, health problems, challenges at work and family crisis come from indiscipline, self indulgence and lack of consideration for other people.

7. Appreciate your strength: Look at what you have as a source of strength and start from there. There is a miracle in your hand. God will help you even if there is no external source of help. It will never fail. I have seen this happen over and over in my life. There is sometime you can do. Sometime you can prevent troubles by keeping quiet, walking away or simply says "I am sorry". If God sends someone to help you, be humble enough to accept the help and move on.

8. Do not do foolish things: Job's wife took a swipe at God. She blamed God for the afflictions of Job. She suggested that Job curse God, even if that results to his death. However Job was wiser, he refused such stupidity.

9. Communicate - Acts11:1 - 4 (Note vs. 4). Learn to communicate with God. You do this in prayers. You may need some people who could join you to pray. This could include also giving to people who are in need. Refuse to be lonely.

10. Prayer of enquire -In Gen. 25:22-23, Rebecca went to God in prayer to find out why her pregnancy was troublesome. Believe and trust in Jesus Christ. Pray and ask God to reveal and give you understanding through the Holy Spirit, the sources, causes and ways to solve challenging problems. There is always a way of escape.

11. The Word of God - God has given us the Bible, as a sort of Handbook or Manual. It contains answers to many questions. It has God's solution to life challenges. Give time to study and pray always.

12. Think right. God gave us the mind so we can think. It is important to think. All that there is in the world today came from inspiration and thinking. Good thoughts are very helpful. Creative thoughts are needful for breakthrough in life

13. Your tongue - Watch your confession, be careful what you say. Words are forces, they create your world. You will become what you think and say.

14. Stay in the will of God - "Simon Peter said unto them, I go fishing. They say unto him, we also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing". John 21:3. God has a purpose for your life; do not walk away from it. Do not envy what other people are doing, do not be drawn away by slow beginnings - like I said before, do the things you are good at, perfect them and market them.

15. Effectual fervent Prayer - pray works, it can achieve great things. Prayer moves mountains. Pray and never give up. The powers of darkness resist prayers but keep praying, victory is just around the corner.

16. JOY FROM WITHIN - rejoice in the Lord always.

When you know these things, put them to practice daily. The above points are capable of making you enjoy your life to the fullest which is what God wants you to do.

Your life should not be full of sorrows, sadness and confusion.  I encourage you to determine to enjoy plenty, trust God and believe his promises. You can indeed overcome stress and depression; you can turn around failed relationship and more.
